 Drop me a note with your vision, and we’ll chat about locations, dates, and ideas. Once you’ve paid your retainer, your spot’s locked in.

2. Let’s get creative

We’ll swap inspo, build a moodboard, and decide on the vibe that feels like you—good sides, favorite colors, and even what not to do (because we all have preferences).

3. Shoot day

We’ll start with a warm-up to help you relax, and then I’ll guide you through every step. Expect laughter, movement, and yes
 plenty of “fix your hair” moments.

4. Pick your favorites

Within a few days, you’ll get a preview gallery to choose the shots you love. You only pay for the ones you can’t live without.

5. Relive the magic

Your edited gallery arrives polished, perfect, and ready to print, post, and treasure for years.

Sometimes photographers will send you literally hundreds of photos (pretty much everything they shot). This sounds nice in theory, but in practice, it’s a nightmare to sort through that chaos!

That’s not my style. I send you a preview, you pick the ones you’re absolutely in love with, and then I polish each one to perfection, for a gallery where every single image makes you feel confident and stunning.

Most clients spend between $300-$450, depending on locations (before you ask — yes we can do multiple!) and desired number of final images, and turnaround time.

Absolutely! I photograph portraits all over North Carolina—Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill, Wilmington, and beyond. If you have a meaningful location, I’m always up for the road trip.

Do you travel for portrait sessions?

Yes, 1000%. Most of my clients say this before their session, and then leave feeling like naturals. I’ll guide you every step (from “where do I put my hands?” to “should my hair be in front or back?”) so you never feel stiff or lost.

I’m awkward in front of the camera. Will you help me pose?

I believe in quality over quantity. After your shoot, I’ll send you the proofs so you can pick your favorites, and then I’ll edit those to perfection. Every photo you get back will be polished, professional, and ready to share. BUT if you’re wondering how my packages work, Inquire here and I’ll send over my service guide!

How many images do we get?

If our photoshoot is taking place outdoors, we’ll keep an eye on the forecast. If it’s not giving golden-hour glow (hello, rain), we’ll reschedule or adjust as needed. 

What if the weather doesn’t cooperate?

Absolutely. From the vibrant murals of downtown Durham to Duke Gardens, Dorothea Dix Park, and JC Raulston Arboretum, I know all the photogenic spots around Raleigh and beyond. I’ll suggest locations that match your vibe—whether urban, nature, or studio.


Do you have location recommendations?

Totally understand! I’ll chat with you beforehand about what you’d like to highlight (or minimize), and I’ll adjust posing, angles, and lighting so you’ll love the way you look.. 

What if I have a “good side” or features I want emphasized?

Definitely. Whether you need polished LinkedIn headshots, creative branding photos for your business, or updated lifestyle portraits, I can tailor the session to fit your goals.


Do you offer professional headshots or personal branding sessions?

Most individual sessions are scheduled 4–8 weeks out, but popular seasons (spring blooms and fall leaves) fill quickly—so reach out early if you’re aiming for those.
